                                                   Water

The water speaks of the water of life which is the Word of God which works in conjunction with the Holy Spirit to give spiritual life. And the Lord, the living Word, uses the written word to cleanse the saints on an ongoing basis. (1 Peter 1:23; Rev 22:1; John 3:5; Eph 5:26, All refs)

Water also speaks of the Spirit of life Who works with the water of the Word to give spiritual life. And He sustains that spiritual life as He is the
ongoing source of it in the believer. (John 3:5; John 7:37-39; Isaiah 44:3; 55:1; All refs)

                                      Green Vegetation

Green vegetation speaks of flourishing and vibrant life. It is what our Creator has provided to sustain physical life, thus reminding the believer that He has provided for all of our spiritual needs as well. Initially, the green plant and fruit were to be the only source of physical sustenance but due to the dramatically altered state of the earth after Noah's flood which diminished its capacity to produce vegetation, the Lord in His goodness and kindness expanded man's menu to include meat. (Genesis 1:30; Rev 22:2; Psalms 23:2; Genesis 9:3; Exodus 34:6; All refs; )

Also, green is known to be the most soothing and relaxing color to the eye and psyche. It's no surprise then that green is the most prevalent color with which the Lord's nature surrounds us in our everyday lives. This attention to every detail of our well being is just another evidence of the Lord's kindness to all men and especially to His saints. (Titus 3:4-5; Psalms 85:10-12; Ephesians 1:3-9; 2 Peter 1:3-4; Acts 14:16-17; Matthew 5:43-48; All refs)

                                              Blue Sky

The blue sky speaks of heaven, the destiny of the saints. Heaven is not only the destiny of the Lord's people but as they walk through this world it is to be a focus as they are to "...keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." They are to set their "affections on things above not on the things that are on earth." The assembly is a heavenly people who are pilgrims passing through this world waiting for their Savior who is coming personally to take them home where "...they shall ever be with the Lord." Those who leave this earth prior to the Lord's return, go immediately to be with the Lord in heaven. The Lord in His loving-kindness has arranged that even death is but a portal into eternal bliss and joy for the Lord's people. His people are truly a blessed people. (1 Thes 4:15-18; Col 3:1-3; 1 Thes 1:9-10; All refs)

                                                People

The people speak of man. Man, male and female, was created in the image of God as the crown of His creation. And though he tragically marred that image through sin, the Lord has not abandoned him but instead continues to love him and thus has provided everything necessary for man to be reconciled to Him. He has done this through Jesus Christ, His Son, the Word made flesh, the "second man" who, "Since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same...". He became a man, dwelt among men, came to serve him, then submitted Himself to be put to death by him. All to put away sin and to demonstrate His love for man, not because he is attractive but because it is God's nature to love. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:16-17, 3:1-7; John 3:16-17, 1:1, 14; Hebrews 2:14-18; Romans 5:6-8, 3:21-26; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 3:10-12; Psalms 8:3-6; 1 John 4:8-10; All refs)

The Bible teaches that, "all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God...The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord... For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast...For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life...And there is salvation in no one else; for there no other name under heaven by which you must be saved...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved." (Romans 3:23, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 16:31; All refs)

Dear reader - if you have not yet done so, why not believe on Him now, today, as your Lord and Savior? "but as many as received Him, to them gave He the right to be children of God, to those that believe on His name" (John 1:12)
